Getting to know my own backyard helps me make sense of the world and feel more connected to the people around me. That’s pretty much what the what Susie saw blog and Instagram is about!

It’s just a bit of fun (I mean, it’s Instagram and not the real world after all!) but I figure if we’re connecting so much via our screens, let’s share the wonders around us, and spread the good word about local gems and hidden delights.

As a community journalist at heart, I do love a good news story.

I love seeing how other people share snippets of their lives and also sharing what I see, mostly from the Scenic Rim.
